We affiliated in 2011 with the mission of creating a community of fit, healthy and happy people who wanted to live their best life and by extension help youth in Boston!
As happy, healthy people we find the time and energy to give back to our community.
Over the past 13 years the Iron & Grit team and community have volunteered to help homeless children, the children in our most impoverished neighborhoods and keep ourselves fit!
World class coaching, facility & people. I’ve trained here for the past year and love it. The coaches are all phenomenal and can tailor every workout to meet you where you’re at. Big shout out to Miguel, one of the best coaches I have ever met. His early morning classes and Olympic Lifting Sessions are excellent!
It’s the best happy to be back great inspirational people awesome coaching and truly no judgements it’s a community of all sorts of athletic abilities or in my case none…all sorts of shapes sizes and ages are welcome and make a great community it’s my “church”!
I dropped in for a week and got to experience a motivating and energetic community. The coaches, Tina, Kina, Miguel, and Brian, all made me feel very welcoming, and always encouraged the members to stay and do mobility or extra work after classes. The gym offers open gym throughout the day, which is a super plus! I would love to come back here whenever I am in Boston, and strongly recommend this gym to visiting CrossFitters.
The community at BIG is great. Everyone is extremely supportive and positive. The coaches are awesome. Miguel has given me tips that have greatly improved certain skills that I have struggled on. Tina is a great owner. She is super friendly and really cares about all of the athletes. She genuinely wants to create the best experience for each person, and help everyone on their individual fitness journey. I have met some great people at BIG and I always look forward to my workouts there.
