Coach Marc

Marc started CrossFit in 2012 just as CrossFit was exploding across the world. A small gym opened in Dedham called CrossFit Craic and at the time Marc was an executive who had stopped going to his regular Globo gym, but his wife wasn’t having any of that sitting around. Carleen got him a membership and the rest is history.

Marc finished his first class and as he describes it, he was so crushed he missed his buddy’s football party, but he decided to go back the next day.

CrossFit became a way of life for Marc. Being in the CrossFit gym gave Marc the type of training he had been looking for. After years of putting in his dues as an athlete Marc started coaching in 2016. Over the years he became central to the Craic community and by 2018 he started managing the studio. Marc took over ownership and kept his community together during a pandemic shutdown and two relocations. His passion for helping people was and is his strength.

Marc is no stranger to coaching. He has coached his sons in football, helping them reach the top of their game. Marc and his wife Carleen have 3 sons and 1 daughter. His oldest son Taj was an athlete in high school and his son Max currently plays on the starting team at Boston College. Fifteen-year-old Jackson is following in his older brothers’ footsteps at Catholic Memorial, playing on the starting football team. His daughter Brooklyn is a competitive cheerleader in high school.

Marc continues to coach because he loves connecting with people and helping them progress in their fitness. He loves to push people. His greatest strength is building relationships and he thinks the CrossFit community is a great place for anyone looking to get fit and connect with other people.

Recently Marc completed his Level 2, and he loved the experience of being coached by higher level coaches. He believes there is always room for improvement both as an athlete and a coach.

Coach Marc loves power cleans and his favorite workout is DT. You can find Marc coaching day and evening classes during the week!
